Effortless and precise joystick operation
The joystick gives the Lumix DMC-LX3 its intuitive,highly precise, fully manual operation. Simply move the joystick vertically or horizontally to adjust exposure and focus during (use your thumb when you’re holding the camera to maintain your shooting momentum). This lets you optimise the settings at the exact moment you finish framing the shot, whether you are capturing the perfect detail of a flower, the drama of a boat crashing through the waves, or the thrill of your child kicking his first goal.
Impactful images and video that look spectacular on the big screen
The Lumix DMC-LX3 records video in high-definition (1,280 x 720 pixels at 30 fps) and supports the HD Output function (1080i output). Just connect the camera to an HDTV with an optional HD component cable (DMW-HDC2) to view HD Photos on any HDTV. The HD Output allows you to enjoy both HD movies and slide shows of your still images, complete with music to enhance the experience.
Create beautifully composed shots night and day
The Lumix DMC-LX3 has a new super high resolution (460k) 3:2 Intelligent LCD screen for easy framing and composition from many angles. Under bright sunlight, the Auto Power LCD function increases the backlight brightness in nine steps according to the ambient light intensity. In dimly lit locations, it adjusts the frame rate of live images in two steps according to the ambient darkness.
