Full-HD Progressive Recording, with 3D Shooting Capability

The HC-V700 camcorder incorporates a Crystal Pro engine and uses the new AVCHD Progressive standard to capture Full-HD (1920 x 1080/50p) video. This technology combines to produce high-quality video, without the after-images and flickering caused by subject motion; making it perfect for shooting fast-moving action. You can also have some creative fun mounting the new VW-CLT2 3D Conversion Lens to record 3D movies*. Even if you don’t have the conversion lens, movies that were shot in 2D can be easily transformed into 3D images with the 2D to 3D Conversion function.

Intelligent Zoom and Wide-Angle Lens gets everyone in the movie

Intelligent Zoom and Intelligent Resolution technology allows the HC-V700’s 21x Optical Zoom to extend to 46x without image degradation, so you can shoot at high zoom rates without experiencing blurry edges. The 28mm wide-angle** lens also makes it possible to shoot at a close distance from your subject and still fit the surrounding area into the frame - and it is perfect for capturing beautiful images of wide landscapes or large groups of people.

iA (Intelligent Auto) and HYBRID O.I.S. + offer effortless professional results

When iA mode is activated, it automatically selects the most suitable shooting mode at the press of a button. The HC-V700 camcorder includes Face Recognition, AF/AE Tracking, Intelligent Scene Selector, Face Detection and Intelligent Contrast Control in its iA suite, as well as the newly developed HYBRID O.I.S. + (Optical Image Stabiliser). This new system employs five-axis correction to help suppress blurring in both wide-angle shots and powerful zoom shots – allowing for steady images across the entire zoom range.

Navigate the system with Intuitive Touch Operation

The easy-to-view 3" wide-screen LCD allows intuitive fingertip touch-operation. When shooting, you can use Touch Zoom to instantly zoom in and out or Touch Shutter to automatically focus when shooting still images by simply touching the subject on the screen. For playback, you can also change thumbnail pages by sliding a fingertip across the screen. You get smooth, intuitive operation without taking your eyes off of the LCD screen.
