This compact, high-performance camera offers all the features of the popular DMC-G2, with additional innovations that make it even easier to use and that deliver even better results.
This is achieved by constantly honing and improving existing features, and incorporating new developments like the world’s fastest level light speed AF (approximately 0.1second) to capture spur-of-the-moment subjects in ultra-sharp focus*. The sensor and image processing engine are also further refined to achieve images with high resolution, sensitivity and beautiful gradation.

Panasonic believes that recording movies with a compact camera should be as easy, and the results as professional-looking, as using your Panasonic stills camera. That’s why the DMC-GH2 has full High Definition movie recording with powerful 60p output**, resulting in images of unprecedented quality with expressive after-image. With the addition of the new Cinema Mode option to the popular Film Mode, 24p delivers characteristic superior gradation, and the new Variable Movie Mode records moving subjects in variable frame rates for a fast/slow feed movie.
Intuitive, touch-control shooting so you can concentrate on your subject
Touch control is popular because it frees you to concentrate on the what, rather than the how, of professional-looking photography. Combined with the easy-to-see, free-angle intelligent LCD and the newly developed multi aspect wide screen Live View Finder (LVF), the DMC-GH2 is unbelievably comfortable and easy to use. Your creativity can come to the fore while your camera takes care of the details.
More interchangeable lenses, including 3D, for the true enthusiast
The ever-expanding number of interchangeable lenses in the Lumix G micro system now totals 11, including new, single-focus length lens LUMIX G 14mm/F2.5 ASPH H-HO14, telephoto zoom lens LUMIX G VARIO 100-300mm/F4.0-5.6/MEGA O.KI.S. H-FS100300 and 3D lens LUMIX G 12.5mm/F12 H-FT012. The popular ‘My Colour’ mode and Film mode, including new Cinema mode, also adds to your repertoire of customised, creative movies and photos.
Intelligent Auto (iA) mode extended for better large-size printed images
The constantly evolving iA feature of Panasonic’s G range now includes Intelligent D-range Control integrated into the DMC-GH2. The Intelligent Resolution has new ‘Extended’ option for more natural looking results when your photos are printed in large sizes.
