Huge performance packed in a pocket-sized body
The 14.1 effective megapixel DMC-FT10 includes an advanced 4x optical zoom lens with revolutionary folded optics to fit in the flat body. Its extra optical zoom uses the centre part of the CCD to extend the 4x zoom to a powerful 8.4x zoom at a resolution of 3-megapixel or less. This means you can get closer to the action.
Not just tough, but super smart too
Press the iA (Intelligent Auto) mode button at the top of the camera and four automatic detection functions activate to take the guesswork out of flawless photography. MEGA O.I.S (Optical Image Stabiliser) combats shaky hands and the low frequency vibration produced by pressing the shutter button. Intelligent ISO Control detects subtle motion and automatically raises the ISO setting to prevent motion blur. Face Detection AF/AE optimises focus and exposure and keeps faces from appearing dark in contrasting light situations; while Intelligent Scene Selector frees you from having to fiddle around with settings each time the ambient conditions change.
Make stunning HD videos of your adventures
The Lumix DMC-FT10 records motion pictures in high-definition (1,280 x 720 pixels at 30 fps in motion JPEG format). It can also record stunning full-size motion pictures in WVGA (848 x 480 pixels at 30 fps) or standard motion pictures in VGA (640 x 480 pixels at 30 fps) and QVGA (320 x 240 pixels at 30 fps). You can quickly and easily edit or upload to YouTube using the included software PHOTOfunSTUDIO ver. 5.0.

The DMC-FT10 is equipped with a 2.7-inch intelligent LCD that automatically adjusts the brightness to ensure easy visibility in any situation. The anti-reflective coating minimises screen glare, making play back easy, even on the sunniest day. A handy high-angle mode helps you get a clear view when holding the camera up high to capture shots of a sports or live music event.
