The PT-AE900 is a 16:9 native widescreen high-definition home theatre projector was developed with the assistance of Hollywood motion picture colourists to ensure the PT-AE900 achieved the most film-like picture characteristics. The result is true "Hollywood picture quality" that faithfully reflects the intentions of the movie director.
The PT-AE900 features an enhanced Dynamic Iris, which improves the efficiency of the optical configuration at more than 15 points, boosting image brightness to 1,100 lumens. While increased brightness normally means lower contrast, the PT-AE900's Dynamic Iris has been extended, enabling contrast to be kept at a stunning 5,500:1 ratio. This reproduces dark colours in dimly lit scenes with stunning definition and depth and displays bright scenes with excellent clarity and detail.
Picture quality is further enhanced using Panasonic's exclusive Smooth Screen technology. This is already acclaimed for reducing what is commonly known as the 'chicken wire effect', black lines between pixels that mar the smoothness of images produced by conventional LCD home projectors.
The PT-AE900 features a high-definition (1,280 x 720 x 3 (RGB)) LCD panel with approximately 2.76 million pixels in a 3-layer RGB construction delivering vibrant, clear and natural widescreen images with superior fidelity.

Dynamic Iris, with scene-tracking capability, was exclusively developed by Panasonic. The iris range in the PT-AE900E is expanded by 30% compared to conventional models, delivering a stunning high contrast ratio of 5500:1 and blacks with a richness and sharpness you would expect to see only at the cinema.
Advacned colour correction technology controls both contrast and brightness to provide faithful reproduction of subtle hues.With Cinema Colour Management technology, correction of individual colours becomes possible without affecting the colurs in the surrounding parts of the picture.
New Smooth Screen technology delivers smoother and more natural images
Producing smoother images, this technology eliminates the "chicken wire effect" caused by black lines between pixels. This combined with the new LCD panel of the PT-AE900E, removes the blurriness and flickering of horizontal black lines during vertical panning.
New Dynamic Sharpness Control
Dynamic Sharpness Control adjusts the application of sharpness to neighbouring picture elements - diagonally as well as vertically and horizontally adacent pixels - in response to differences in brightness. The PT-AE900E also has a newly redesigned sharpness filter for images with even cleaner, sharper edges.
Easy to set up 2x optical zoom lens and vertical and horizontal lens shift
The 2x optical zoom lens allows the PT-AE900E to project a 100-inch (diagonal) big screen image from a distance of as little as 3 metres to as far as an amazing 6 metres. Vertical and horizontal lens shift allows you to adjust the positioning of the picture by simple joystick operation without moving the projector.
One remote control does it all!!
The PT-AE900E comes with a learning remote control that can memorise the functions of up to eight home theatre components. Now you can control your home theatre system with a single remote.
