Panasonic Australia donations & sponsorships proposal guidelines

Thank you for considering Panasonic Australia as a potential partner.

As you can imagine, Panasonic receives hundreds of requests for donations and sponsorship, and whilst we would like to be able to extend our support to all requests, on many occasions we are unable to assist due to current commitments and budgetary constraints.

Panasonic Australia is a proud member of the Australian corporate community and is committed to fostering relationships with consumers, businesses, organisations and governments alike.

A unique premise shapes Panasonic's managerial thinking. It is part of the philosophy of the founder of our company, Konosuke Matsushita, that "a company is a public institution. Hence, it exists for the society, is supported by the society and has to walk hand in hand with the society". That philosophy continues to guide us in our community programs and sponsorships today.

With this in mind, Panasonic has a number of programs and commercial sponsorships aimed at providing synergy with our business goals and objectives and to naturally provide greater visibility of company products and our brand where appropriate.

General Corporate Sponsorship Guidelines

  • We usually require sponsorships to offer exclusivity in the category of Consumer Electronics, ideally including all Audio/Visual categories.
  • For planning purposes and due to our financial year being April - March, we generally require a minimum of 6-12 months lead-time to consider proposals.
  • Panasonic tends not to sponsor individuals, junior sports teams, or school events.
  • Sponsorship property generally must be relevant to our products, brand values, and target markets. There must be the opportunity for a relevant product alignment.
  • Panasonic will consider properties that are innovative and promote innovation.
  • There must be a measurable return on investment.

Criteria

Sponsorship Properties usually must provide Panasonic:

  • A cohesive link with our core brand and/or product attributes and features
  • Ideas to leverage the sponsorship
  • Retail promotional and marketing opportunities
  • Mainstream media exposure
  • Access to a database or the opportunity to create a database
  • Cross promotional opportunities with co-sponsors
  • Potential B2B & consumer sales opportunities

How to Apply for Corporate Sponsorship

To be considered, sponsorship proposals must be submitted using the online form with all fields of information completed.

Due to the volume of proposals we receive, only those proposals submitted in this format will be considered.

All proposals will be reviewed against our budget, strategy and objectives by the sponsorship team to assess suitability, feasibility and resources required.

You will be notified if your proposal is successful usually within 30 days.
