Panasonic introduces new Wireless Projector range
Fast, easy wireless projection with improved viewing in bright conditionsPanasonic has introduced three new wireless XGA LCD projectors - the PT-LB60NTE, PT-LB55NTE and PT-LB50NTE - making wireless projection simple, fast and flexible. The new projectors have increased power and portability and also incorporate enhanced 'Daylight View 2' technology, which improves image viewing even in bright rooms. Michelle Aiken, Product Manager, PDP/Projector, Business Systems Group, Panasonic, said, "These new projectors make presentation set-up quick, uncomplicated and professional, offering superior wireless transmission, portability and ease of use in a range of situations - from office environments with harsh fluorescent lighting to brightly-lit classrooms." Simple, fast and flexible wireless projection The projectors have wireless LAN capability, compliant with the IEEE802.11b/g standard - so the only cable that needs to be connected is the power cord, enabling greater flexibility for room layout. The Wireless Manager ME 3.0 software enables extremely quick data transfer. Moving picture files are displayed smoothly at a speed of 30fps* and audio data can be sent at the same time, so you can deliver Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentations rich in moving pictures and sound effects. These projectors have convenient new wireless features - including 'secondary display transmission' through the Wireless Prompter function, enabling the transmission of content other than what is currently displayed on the PC screen - for example, you can display other text documents on screen while projecting a PowerPoint presentation. An area select window also lets the user isolate information from a PC screen to be displayed on a projection screen. The projectors have simple, user friendly settings and include a Wireless Manager Mobile Edition 3.0 software CD-ROM, which installs easily onto a PC**. When a presentation is finished, the PC's LAN settings are restored to their original state, so the PC is ready to reconnect to the company LAN. Improved image viewing with 'Daylight View 2' technology Panasonic's Daylight View 2 technology helps project sharp, crisp images that are easy to see even in brightly lit rooms. A built-in sensor measures the ambient light automatically and the halftone colours and brightness levels are adjusted accordingly in real time. The projected image is easy to see in any room situation - from brightly-lit classrooms to office environments with bright fluorescent lighting. Convenient wireless functions for interactive sessions Wireless technology provides the projectors with a variety of data streaming options, unhindered by messy cabling. It allows smooth transition between presenters; and the different projection modes are useful for group training or other interactive sessions in classroom or conference situations. In Multi-Live Mode, three different projection styles can be selected, including Extended Window Style (images from up to 16 PCs displayed as small windows on a single screen), Index Style (images from up to four PCs projected as small windows along the bottom of the screen with one image selected on the main screen) and Four-Window Style (up to four PCs projected in separate windows). A window can be selected for main screen viewing via the included remote control. Multiple Source Live Mode simultaneously projects from one PC to a maximum of eight projectors. Other wireless features include projector control/status monitoring capability via an Internet browser; automatic connection to registered projectors; security methods compliant with WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK; Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) used for all communication encryption; wireless shutter function; one-shot mode; and PowerPoint page up/down operation using the supplied remote control. High power and portability The PT-LB60NTE delivers an ultra-bright 3,200 lumens, the PT-LB55NTE 2,500 lumens and the PT-LB50NTE 2,000 lumens, via the high performance optical system and high-efficiency UHM lamp. Images are sharper, crisper and easier to see. Resolution is 1024 x 768 (native XGA), and contrast ratio is 400:1.*** The projectors are lightweight, with the PT-LB50NTE weighing just 1.9kg. The PT-LB60NTE and PT-LB55NTE are also easily portable at 2.6kg. Coupled with a slim and compact body design, they slip easily into a bag or briefcase and are highly mobile, minimising the space required for presentations or storage. Even if you're carrying a notebook PC as well, they won't weigh you down. Fast, easy operation Panasonic's wireless projectors also offer a number of quick installation and operation functions. Speed Start dramatically reduces the time it takes to begin a presentation, with an image appearing two seconds after the user presses the power button, facilitated by Panasonic's high-precision lamp and lamp-power supply. Auto Search automatically detects what kind of source is connected when you switch the unit on and begin projection. Real-time keystone correction enables the projectors to automatically sense if you adjust the angle (vertical direction) during operation and instantly make whatever keystone correction is necessary for optimum viewing. The projectors also offer Direct Power Off for quick shut-down of the unit, by allowing the user to disconnect the power cable and move the projector as soon as the presentation is finished. The cooling fan keeps operating until the lamp is cooled. oOo RELEASED BY PANASONIC AUSTRALIA ______________________________________________ * For moving picture files in QVGA size; content and DVDs set with DRM (Digital Rights Management) cannot be transmitted ** To use wireless functions, a PC must meet minimum operating instructions *** In AI mode
