Panasonic LUMIX Bonus Extended Warranty
Terms and Conditions

1. Information on how to claim and details of the Bonus Extended Warranty (as defined below) form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in the offer is deemed to constitute acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Claimants under 18 years old must have parental/guardian approval to claim and further, the parent/guardian of the Claimant must read and consent to these Terms and Conditions. Parents/guardians may be required by the Promoter to enter into a further agreement as evidence of consent to the minor submitting a claim in this offer.
3. The offer commences at 12:00am 1 April 2024 (AEDT) and closes at 11:59pm 31 March 2025 (AEDT) ("Offer Period"). Only purchases made between these dates qualify for the Bonus Extended Warranty Offer.
4. The Bonus Extended Warranty Offer is only applicable to the specified LUMIX camera and lens models listed below ("Eligible Product"):

5. As of 1st April 2024, the Standard Warranty period for Eligible Products will be two (2) years from the date of purchase appearing on the proof of purchase without the need for registration ("Standard Warranty Period").
6. If a Claimant is eligible, the Bonus Extended Warranty period for Eligible Products will consist of the standard two (2) year warranty plus an additional three (3) years of bonus warranty – for a total of five (5) years of warranty service coverage from the date of purchase appearing on the proof of purchase ("Bonus Extended Warranty Period").
7. Only products purchased after 1st April 2024 are eligible for the Bonus Extended Warranty offer.
8. To be eligible to register for the Bonus Extended Warranty Offer, Claimants must purchase an Eligible Product, from an authorised retail outlet (either in-store or online) in Australia. Refurbished or second-hand products (even those listed on the Eligible Products list) are excluded from this offer. A Claimant must have fully paid for the Eligible Product before they are eligible to register for the Bonus Extended Warranty offer.
9. The Bonus Extended Warranty will only cover repairs within Australia and does not extend the 1-year Limited Worldwide Warranty.
10. To register the Bonus Extended Warranty, a Claimant must undertake the following steps:
    1. Connect to www.panasonic.com.au/warranty, then log in to their My Panasonic account (or join My Panasonic) and complete, in full, the official online product registration form for the Eligible Product – including providing personal information, valid serial number and tax invoice of the Eligible Product.
    2. Submit the online product registration form during the Offer Period and within 120 days of purchase date.
    3. The Claimant will then receive an email from the Promoter confirming their product registration is successful.
11. In the event of a warranty service claim, a Claimant must:
    1. Contact Panasonic’s Customer Care Centre on 132 600 for Service Centre information.
    2. Confirm the opening and acceptance times with the Authorised Service centre that you choose.
    3. Then send or take the product to a Panasonic Authorised Service Centre together with the proof of purchase receipt and your Bonus Extended Warranty registration.
    4. Any freight and insurance costs associated with the transport of the product to and/or from your nearest Authorised Service Centre must be arranged and paid for by the Claimant.
12. The Promoter shall not be liable for any registration failures that result from the claimant entering a wrong email address.
13. Failure to produce proof of purchase when requested may, at the absolute discretion of the Promoter, result in the invalidation of a Claimant's registration and forfeiture of any right to the Bonus Extended Warranty. Where the Eligible Products are purchased from a participating reseller you agree and consent to the Promoter contacting the participating reseller to confirm any matters relating to this promotion.
14. If the Claimant is eligible, subject to the conditions of this warranty Panasonic Australia or its Authorised Service Centre will perform the necessary service on the product, without charge for parts or labour, if in the opinion of Panasonic Australia, the Eligible Product is found to have a manufacturing defect within the Bonus Extended Warranty Period.
15. Bonus Extended Warranty cover only applies to the services that are carried out by a Panasonic Australia Authorised Service Centre and only if valid proof of purchase is presented with the Bonus Extended Warranty registration when the warranty service is requested.
16. This Bonus Extended Warranty does not cover the following items unless the fault or defect existed at the time of purchase:
    1. Consumable parts
    2. Cosmetic parts
    3. Worn or damaged parts
    4. Information stored on solid-state or removeable media (such as SD cards)
17. Nothing in these terms and conditions limits, excludes, or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia ("Non-Excludable Guarantees"). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees, and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the offer.
18. The Bonus Extended Warranty is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
19. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the Claimant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. The use of any automated claim software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows a Claimant to automatically claim repeatedly is prohibited and will render all claims submitted by that Claimant invalid.
20. If this offer is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any Claimant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate, or cancel the offer, as appropriate.
21. The Promoter collects personal information ("PI") in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this PI. The Promoter will also use and handle PI as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at www.panasonic.com/au/privacy-policy. The Privacy Policy also contains information about how Claimants may opt out, access, update or correct their PI, how Claimants may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. All entries become the property of the Promoter. Unless otherwise indicated by the Promoter, the Promoter may disclose Claimant’s PI to entities outside of Australia (for a list of the countries, see the Promoter’s Privacy Policy), and cannot guarantee that any overseas recipient will not breach the Australian Privacy Principles. By entering the promotion Claimants’ consent to the overseas transfer on these terms as permitted by the Australian Privacy Principles and agree that the Promoter is not liable in this regard.
22. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of claims and Claimant’s (including a Claimant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the claim process including but not limited to postage and handling costs or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the offer. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
23. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the PI for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the claimant.

In addition to your rights under this warranty, Panasonic products come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or a refund for a major failure and compensation for any foreseeable loss or damage. You are entitled to have the product repaired or replaced if the product fails to be of an acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
